Alaşehir Belediyesi, kentin binlerce yıllık tarihine kadınların penceresinden ışık tutacak önemli bir kültürel etkinliğe ev sahipliği yapmaya hazırlanıyor. “Alaşehir’in Kadim Kadınları: Kentin Dişil Belleğine Yolculuk” başlıklı seminer, 7 Ekim 2026 tarihinde Kurşunlu Han’ın tarihî atmosferinde gerçekleştirilecek.
Yazar, araştırmacı ve eğitmen Hüma Zeybek’in konuşmacı olarak katılacağı etkinlikte, Alaşehir ve Philadelphia Antik Kenti’nin arkeolojik mirası; mitolojik karakterler, tanrıça figürleri ve inanç sistemleri ekseninde ele alınacak. Programda, geçmişten günümüze ulaşan kadın tasvirlerinin yalnızca sanatsal birer obje olmadığı, aynı zamanda toplumların inançlarını ve kolektif hafızasını yansıtan canlı izler taşıdığı anlatılacak.
Kentin geçmişini salt fiziksel mimari kalıntılar üzerinden değil, toplumsal hafıza üzerinden okumayı amaçlayan bu özel buluşma, Alaşehir’in köklü tarihini yeni bir perspektifle keşfetmek isteyen tüm vatandaşları bekliyor.

The seminar, titled "The Ancient Women of Alaşehir: A Journey to the Feminine Memory of the City," will take place on October 7, 2026, in the historical atmosphere of Kurşunlu Han.
Featuring author, researcher, and educator Hüma Zeybek as the speaker, the event will explore the archaeological heritage of Alaşehir and the Ancient City of Philadelphia through the lens of mythological characters, goddess figures, and belief systems. The program will highlight that depictions of women reaching us from the past are not merely artistic objects, but carry living traces that reflect the beliefs and collective memory of societies.
Aiming to read the city's past through social memory rather than just physical architectural ruins, this special gathering awaits all citizens who wish to discover Alaşehir's deep-rooted history from a new perspective.
